Nick's Last Day

On Friday, Nick celebrated his last day at National Bank. Having been with the team for 5 years, it was a bittersweet goodbye filled with laughter and tears. That being said, Nick is moving to a different building within the same city block, so it wasn't a real goodbye.

Would it be a proper farewell if there weren't drinks?

And are drinks even drinks if it's not a competition?

I'm not saying Nick was hung over the next day, but... no, I am saying that. He was very hung over.

Drunk chess is cool, right? No? Yeah, I didn't think so either.

I was merely a fly-on-the-wall for this gathering, but the laughter was genuine, and the hugs were plenty. This crew are brothers in arms, putting out fires and ensuring the bank can run as usual. Nick's closest friends have all been coworkers from previous jobs, and I know these guys are all members on his roster.

Here's to Nick making new friends at BMO, and keeping his friendships from National alive.
